For churches these are hard decisions. So much of what we do, we do only because we have always done it. We have to determine who we are as a faith community and determine where we want to go. Some churches need to decide if they are willing to pay the cost of growth or if they would rather get smaller and/or close. This is a life cycle choice.
Like our faith, all of our churches have a constant decision to make about whether we will embrace spiritual and personal renewal. Remaining stagnant is easy but in the end leads to death.
